1. Who we are
This service is operated by QuoteMagic ("we", "us"). We act as the data controller for personal data we collect through QuoteMagic Pro.
2. Data we collect
- Account data: email address, login credentials, sign-in provider (e.g. Google).
- Usage data: quotes generated, daily counts, feature interactions, error logs.
- Device/technical data: IP address, browser type, device identifiers.
- Support messages: any content you send us through support.
Payment data (card details, billing address, tax information) is collected and processed by Paddle, our Merchant of Record. We do not store your card details.
3. Why we use it
- Create your account and provide the Service (legal basis: contract).
- Process subscriptions and manage Pro access (legal basis: contract).
- Security, fraud prevention, and abuse detection (legal basis: legitimate interests).
- Service improvement and debugging (legal basis: legitimate interests).
- Customer support (legal basis: contract / legitimate interests).
- Comply with legal obligations (legal basis: legal obligation).
4. Who we share data with
- Paddle — our Merchant of Record. Processes payments, manages subscriptions, handles tax compliance, sends invoices, and manages refunds.
- Hosting and infrastructure providers — including our cloud database and authentication provider used to run the Service.
- Google — only if you choose to sign in with Google, for authentication purposes.
- Authorities — where required by law.
5. Retention
We keep account data for as long as your account is active. After deletion, data is removed or anonymised within a reasonable period, except where we must keep records to meet legal or accounting obligations.
6. Your rights
Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or export your data, and to object to or restrict certain processing. You may also withdraw consent at any time and lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority. To exercise any of these rights, contact us through the in-app support flow.
7. International transfers
Your data may be transferred to and processed in countries outside your own. Where required, we rely on appropriate safeguards (such as Standard Contractual Clauses) to protect your data.
8. Security
We use appropriate technical and organisational measures (including encryption in transit, access controls, and authentication) to protect your data. No system is 100% secure, but we work to keep risks to a reasonable level.
9. Cookies
We use essential cookies and local storage to keep you signed in and remember your preferences. We do not currently use marketing cookies.
